Our balloon crew attended the Icons of the Sky festival at Longleat, joining over 100 other balloons in celebrating this remarkable event.
The Icons of the Sky festival at Longleat is a spectacular event that took place at Longleat Safari Park, celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2024. The festival featured a wide array of hot air balloons, including special shapes and vibrant colours, with over 100 balloons taking to the skies for mass ascents.
One of the highlights of the event is the “night glow,” where tethered balloons light up in sync with music, creating a magical nighttime display. The event also included aerial displays featuring legendary aircraft like Spitfires, aerobatic performances, model hot air balloons and wing walkers, making it a comprehensive air festival with something for everyone.
The festival spanned three days and was a significant draw for both balloon enthusiasts and families looking for a unique experience.
