How to get to Snake Meadows – By Car
From Bath (Bus Station)
- From Bath head south-west on the A3039 (Dorchester Street) and follow signs for the A367 (Southgate Street).
- Use the left 2 lanes to turn left onto the A367 (Broad Quay/Churchill Bridge).
- At Churchill Bridge Roundabout, take the 3rd exit and follow the signs for the A36 (Lower Bristol Road).
- Continue onto A4 (Bristol Road) until you reach the roundabout with the Globe pub.
- At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit and follow the sings for Bristol and stay on the A4 (Bath Road).
- Snake Meadows is located on the right.
From Bristol (Temple Meads)
- Head south on the Bath Road and follow the signs for the A4 (Bristol).
- At Bath Bridge roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto the A4 (Bath Road).
- Continue on the A4 (Bath Road) and follow signs for Bath.
- At Hicks Gate roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto the Keynsham By Pass and follow the signs for Bath.
- At Broadmead roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto the A4 (Bath Road) and follow the signs for Saltford.
- Continue through Saltford on the A4 (passing the Crown Pub on your right).
- At the bottom of the hill you will pass the Avon Rowing Club on your left.
- Snake Meadows is just round the corner on the left.
Public Transport
By Train: Keynsham Train Station (from Bath Spa or Bristol Temple Meads) is the nearest train station. From here you would need to catch a bus or take a taxi which takes about 15 minutes depending on traffic and the time of day.
By Bus: There are a number of bus stops along the A4 between Bristol and Bath and the 39 or X39 service runs frequently throughout the day, usually every 15 – 20 minutes. There are a number of bus stops near to Snake Meadows which are between a 5 and 10 minute walk.
