The first-ever Doncaster Balloon Festival took place on July 19-20, 2024, at Town Field in Doncaster. The event featured a wide range of activities, including hot air balloon ascents, night glows, and a spectacular fireworks display. The festival also hosted entertainment such as parachute displays, motorbike freestyle stunts, historical re-enactments by the American Civil War Society and the Vikings, as well as a giant funfair, circus workshops, and food stalls.
