Snake Meadows Rules
Welcome to our Hot Air Balloon Club rules for Snake Meadows.
Whether you’re a first-time attendee or a seasoned enthusiast, this guide will hopefully answer the most common questions about visiting Snake Meadows. From food, first aid and parking, we’ve covered everything you need to know to help make your experience as enjoyable and memorable as possible!
Specific details may vary per event, such as ticket pricing, launch times, food provision and parking, so be sure to check the details for your chosen event for any additional information.
Alcohol

No alcohol is allowed unless specifically permitted for designated events. This policy is in place to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all visitors. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
CCTV

Snake Meadows has CCTV surveillance operating 24/7. This system is in place to ensure the safety and security of all visitors, event staff and balloon crews. We appreciate your understanding as we implement these measures to create a secure and safe environment for everyone.
Dogs

Dogs are not allowed, with the exception of assistance dogs which are permitted to accompany individuals with disabilities, as they are trained to provide essential support. This policy helps protect the local wildlife and ensures a safe environment for all visitors.
For any other exceptions, prior agreement must be obtained before arriving on-site.
Drop-Off Zones

Please note that there are no designated drop-off zones at Snake Meadows. Visitors are advised to plan accordingly and use the available parking areas. Stopping to drop off passengers in unauthorized locations may cause traffic disruptions and pose safety risks, so it’s important to park responsibly and walk or use public transport to get to the site.
Entering the Site

When traveling from the Bath direction please note there is no right turn into the site. Please follow the A4 to the Pixash Lane roundabout at Keynsham and back towards the site. Please adhere to this guideline to ensure safety and smooth traffic flow and reduce the risk of congestion on the A4.
Exiting the Site

To ensure safety, pedestrians will be allowed to leave the site first before cars are permitted to exit.

No right turn is allowed when exiting the site. Please adhere to this guideline to ensure safety and smooth traffic flow. Thank you for your cooperation.
First Aid

in the event of a medical emergency, we have trained first aiders on-site to provide assistance. If you require assistance, please speak to a member of our events team, balloon crew or visit the designated first aid point.
Fire Safety

If you notice a fire, please notify a member of the event team or balloon crew immediately.
Food / Catering

Bath Hot Air Balloon club do not supply food, but you are welcome to bring a picnic.
For events, mobile caterers may be on-site to provide a variety of food options, details will be provided in the specific events information.
Litter / Recycling

Please help us keep the site tidy by using the litter bins provided, or taking your litter home with you. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated in maintaining a clean and enjoyable environment for everyone.
Locking Up (Balloonists Only)

Locking the field when you leave is extremely important and is your responsibility to ensure the field is secure before leaving. This includes locking the middle gate and checking that the area is clear of any hazards or litter.
This ensures the safety and security of equipment and facilities from potential vandalism or theft.
Out Of Bounds (Wild Meadows)

Please keep out of the meadow areas, pond, main arena and any other areas marked as restricted or that have been sectioned off.
Additionally, we kindly ask that you ensure your child is supervised and remains in designated areas for their safety.
Parking

Restrictions:
Visitors are kindly asked not to park on the main A4 or on private residential roads. To ensure safety and avoid inconvenience to local residents, it is important to use the designated parking areas provided.
When parking in residential areas we politely request you park legally and considerately.

Public Car Parking
Limited parking is available onsite and for events car parking needs to be pre-booked. Details will be provided with the events details.
Visitors are encouraged to arrive early, especially during peak times, to secure a parking spot and help maintain a smooth flow of traffic in the surrounding area and reduce the risk of congestion.
There will be limited parking on-site for the public including disability parking.

Disabled Parking
Disability parking is available on-site, and for events car parking needs to be pre-booked. Details will be provided with the events details.
When using the disabled parking spaces, a valid disabled badge must be clearly visible at all times. This ensures that the spaces are reserved for those who genuinely need them and helps us monitor proper use of the limited parking. Visitors are reminded to ensure their badge is correctly positioned before leaving their vehicle.
When Exiting

To ensure safety, pedestrians will be allowed to leave the site first before cars are permitted to exit.

Smoking

Snake Meadows is designated as a no-smoking area to ensure a safe, enjoyable experience for everyone.
Where deemed safe, a designated smoking area may be provided but this is not guaranteed as depends on the conditions of the field. Please ask one of our balloon crew or events team who will be able to advise where you can safely smoke.
Toilets

Toilet facilities are provided for the convenience of all visitors. These facilities are located near key areas to ensure easy access throughout the site. Visitors are encouraged to use these amenities to help maintain the cleanliness and preservation of the natural environment.
